Who we are
This website, yours-media.com, is operated by WILLMS INTERNATIONAL LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 14734847, registered office 124-128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom (“we”). Contact: contact@yours-magazine.com.
We process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018; where the EU GDPR applies to readers in the European Union, we honour it in parallel.
Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). When you visit the site, Cloudflare processes technical connection data (such as IP address, requested URL, browser and date/time) to deliver the pages securely and to protect against attacks. Cloudflare participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure, fast website. We do not keep our own server logs; Cloudflare deletes connection data in line with its own retention periods.
Images from our previous platform
During the ongoing migration, article images are still delivered from the content delivery network of our previous publishing platform, Ghost (storage.ghost.io). When images load, that provider processes your IP address. The images will be moved to our own storage as the migration completes.
Analytics — no cookies
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement service that works without cookies, without fingerprinting and without cross-site tracking. It counts page views so that we can see which articles are read. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding the reach of our content.
Microsoft Clarity — only with your consent
With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity, an analytics service of Microsoft Corporation (United States), to understand how readers use this magazine — for example how far articles are read, where readers click and where pages are hard to use. Clarity records interactions such as mouse movements, scrolling and clicks, and creates aggregated heatmaps and replays of page visits. Clarity masks text entered into forms, so what you type (for example your email address) is not recorded. Clarity also processes technical data such as your IP address, device, browser and approximate location.
Clarity sets cookies on your device (such as _clck, kept for up to one year,
and _clsk, kept for one day) and Microsoft may set its own cookies (such as
CLID and MUID). Clarity is switched off by default: nothing is
loaded from Microsoft until you allow “Analytics” (or click “Accept all”) in our privacy
banner. Legal basis: your
consent. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings”
at the bottom of every page; Clarity then stops and its cookies are removed. According to
Microsoft, recordings are kept for 30 days and aggregated data for up to 13 months. We do
not use Clarity for advertising. Microsoft participates in the EU–US Data Privacy
Framework and its UK extension (see “Transfers outside the UK and EU” below). Please also
see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
X (Twitter) pixel — only with your consent
With your separate consent (“Advertising” in our privacy banner), we use the X pixel (conversion tracking) of X Corp. (United States) and, for users in the EU/EEA and the UK, Twitter International Unlimited Company (Ireland). It helps us measure whether our campaigns and posts on X bring readers to this magazine — for example, that a visitor who saw or clicked one of our ads on X later opened a page here. For this, the pixel processes the pages you visit on our site, the time of the visit, your IP address, browser and device data, and a click identifier from X. If you are logged in to X, X can link these visits to your X account.
The pixel sets cookies on your device (such as _twpid) and X may read or set
its own cookies (such as personalization_id and muc_ads),
which are typically kept for up to two years. The pixel is switched off by default:
nothing is loaded from X until you allow “Advertising” (or click “Accept all”) in our
privacy banner. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for
the future via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; the pixel is then no longer
loaded and its cookies on our domain are removed. We receive only aggregated campaign
reports from X, not data about individual readers. X uses the data according to its own
privacy policy, including for its own purposes such as ad personalisation; for that
processing X is responsible. X Corp. participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (see
“Transfers outside the UK and EU” below). Please also see X’s privacy policy
(x.com/privacy), where you can also adjust your ad preferences.
Market data (TradingView)
The market strip below the masthead and the market overviews, charts, market movers, commodity prices, company data, currency tables and screener on our Markets page are provided by TradingView, Inc. (United States). They are switched off by default: nothing is loaded from TradingView until you click “Show live markets”. After that click, your browser connects to TradingView’s servers, which process your IP address and technical browser data and may store data on your device. Your choice applies only to the current browser session; close the tab or browser to withdraw it. Legal basis: your consent. As TradingView is based in the United States, your data is transferred there (see “Transfers outside the UK and EU” below). Please also see TradingView’s own privacy policy.
The economic calendar on our Markets page is also a TradingView widget and loads only after the same click.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, we process the details you enter (name, email address, your message) solely to handle your enquiry. The message is delivered to us by email via Brevo (Brevo, formerly Sendinblue, an EU provider based in France); no database is kept on this website. Spam protection may use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks technical browser signals instead of tracking you. Legal basis: your consent given with the form, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We keep your enquiry for as long as needed to handle it and delete it no later than 12 months after the correspondence has ended, unless we have to keep it longer for legal reasons (for example, business correspondence relating to a contract).
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address to send it to you. We use a double opt-in: you only receive the newsletter after confirming your address via the link in our confirmation email. We record the time of your sign-up and confirmation as proof of your consent. The list is managed and the newsletter sent by Brevo (formerly Sendinblue, an EU provider based in France), which also measures whether a newsletter is opened and which links are clicked, so that we can see what our readers find useful. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link; you can also unsubscribe by emailing us. Legal basis: your consent.
We keep your address for as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we remove it from the mailing list; we keep only a record of the unsubscription so that we do not email you again by mistake. If you never confirm your sign-up, you are not added to the list and receive no newsletter.
Some articles can be read in full only after subscribing to the newsletter. When you subscribe, we check with Brevo whether your address is already a confirmed subscriber, so that existing readers are not sent another confirmation email. Your browser then stores a simple note (in local storage, not a cookie, and without your email address) so that these articles stay open for you on that device. Nothing is sent to us or to third parties; you can remove it by clearing your browser's site data.
If you email us directly, we process your address and message to reply. Emails are retained only as long as needed to handle the correspondence and any legal obligations — as with the contact form, no longer than 12 months after the correspondence has ended, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Transfers outside the UK and EU
Some of the providers we use are based in the United States: Cloudflare (hosting, analytics, spam protection), Microsoft (Clarity, only after you accept it in our privacy banner), X Corp. (X pixel, only after you allow advertising in our privacy banner) and TradingView (market data, only after you click “Show live markets”). Cloudflare, Microsoft and X Corp. participate in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension, which provide an adequate level of protection for these transfers. For TradingView, the transfer takes place on the basis of your consent when you switch on the market data. Please note that the United States may not offer the same level of data protection as the UK or the EU. Brevo processes data in the EU.
Your rights
